Recruiters are another great source for job openings.  There are paid recruiters that can help push out your resume and there are recruiters who are hired by the organizations to find candidates for their openings.  For the non-paid recruiters, reach out to as many as you can find in your area and send your resume and a cover letter.  Your goal is to get on their radar.  Even if they don’t hire for your field they may know someone who does.  A paid recruiter can push your information out to other recruiters and to companies sometimes in a way that gets noticed above the other search companies.  But because you have to pay for this last resource you may want to wait and try all of the other avenues before you pay for search help.
