Networking at social events

• Have personal business cards on hand
• Be outgoing and personable
• Talk to them about their work and what they are doing
• Let them know you are looking for new work opportunities
• Ask them if
  • You can set up lunch to talk about what position you are looking for
  • You may send them your resume in case they hear of anyone that may have a position available
• Ask for their card
• Set up coffee, lunch or breakfast to talk about your goals in your job search
  • If they are busy ask if they might be open to a 30 minute call so that you can tell them what you are looking for
