These are great ways to get your foot in the door with a company that you would like to work for.  They are also great opportunities to get an income stream while you are looking for a position.   Reach out to all of the staffing agencies in your area or even in cities where you would like to move to and send them your resume.  Let them know you are looking for a position in xyz field using xyz skills and are open to any and every position that you may be a good fit.  Be open.  Go and try.  You never know where these positions may lead.  (But don’t stop looking for permanent opportunities on these side!)
